The UpClim Project
The UpClim project is implemented in the framework of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) Call “Basic research Financing (Horizontal support of all Sciences)” under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” funded by the European Union –NextGeneration EU(H.F.R.I. Project Number: 014696).
The regional climate model WRF run by AUTH as member of the CMIP6/EURO-CORDEX ensemble will be upgraded to meet the requirements set by the the European regional climate simulation protocol of CORDEX.
The model improvements will be implemented within the following three pillars:
- Pilar 1. Time-evolving aerosols
- Pilar 2. Urban parameterizations
- Pilar 3. Transient Land Use Changes
